Ken Richstad

KMR, Founder & Lead Instructor

Ken Richstad is the founder and lead instructor of KMR, with decades of experience teaching self-defense to students of all backgrounds. He believes self-defense is a tool of empowerment, originally developed to protect a persecuted people and still most powerful in the hands of those who need it most.

Ken founded this organization to carry that purpose into the world's most vulnerable communities, bringing safety skills and leadership potential to women and girls in conflict-affected regions.

Jeremy Moore, retired U.S. Army Special Operations

Jeremy Moore

Retired U.S. Army Special Operations

Jeremy Moore is a retired U.S. Army veteran with five deployments to Iraq, conducting special operations throughout the country. After retiring in 2016, he chose service over profit, traveling through Iraq, Somalia, Ethiopia, and Kenya to make a difference in the world's most conflict-affected regions.

In 2018, Jeremy led the first training mission to a Yazidi refugee camp in Northern Iraq, teaching hundreds of women and girls who had survived ISIS captivity and sparking the mission that became this organization.
